Fr Thomas McGlynn was born in Belfast and attended St Augustine's High School and St Patrick's College. He attended Queens University studying Philosophy & Byzantine studies. After theological studies in Rome he was ordained in St Bernadette's, his native parish in 1993. Following ordination he was appointed curate in St Paul's Parish Belfast. In 1998 he was appointed in Holy Trinity, also in Belfast. Since 2003 he has been chaplain to the Royal Victoria Hospital and chaplain to the Sisters of Adoration & Dominican Convent. Fr McGlynn is the scouts county Chaplain and Assistant Diocesan Archivist.
